What our patients think*

The filling of our breast implants
POLYTECH breast implants are filled with special silicone gels approved for long-term implantation. These gels are cohesive and uniquely cross-linked, allowing the gel to remain in the shell, even in the chance of a rupture. It also makes our breast implants form-stable - if you change the form with moderate pressure, they will return to their original shape.

The shell of our breast implants
Our implant filling is not the only high-quality component. In all breast implants, the high-quality shell is made of silicone elastomer, a high-performance material that is particularly resistant to chemical and mechanical effects. Composed of different layers, the shell has a well-defined structure with a special barrier layer that prevents the silicone oils from migrating.

The surface of our breast implants
The implant of choice is always the one that best suits the patient. That is why we offer a large variety of over 2,000 implant variants to tailor the breast implant to your individual needs. The same applies to the surface of our products, which are available in four different types. We develop breast implants with smooth or textured surfaces, and also with polyurethane foam coating. The brand names of our surfaces are POLYsmoooth ™ for smooth, MESMO® for a soft microtexture, POLYtxt® for a microtexture with a slightly more textured feel and Microthane® for the micropolyurethane foam coating. Breast implants with Microthane® surface, in particular, contribute to a significant reduction in capsular contracture rates(1, 2).

The four basic forms of SublimeLine®:
- Même® - The traditional round breast implant with circular base and a uniformly convex profile.
- Replicon® - The classic among the anatomical shapes, with a round base and a tear-drop profile with more volume in the lower half.
- Opticon® - These implants are a variant of the anatomical shape. They have a shorter base and are particularly suitable for women with a lot of subcutaneous fat tissue in the neckline.
- Optimam® - These implants are again based on the anatomical shape: they have an extended base, so that for patients with little subcutaneous fat tissue, an aesthetic, gradual transition from the chest can be achieved.

The SublimeLine® - Individual, down to the last detail
With over 700 variants, the SublimeLine® offers a comprehensive variety of breast implants. The patient and surgeon can specifically choose the implant that fits their needs and preferences.
The selection of the suitable SublimeLine® variant takes place in three steps:
- Measure the thorax and determine the base width
- Select the basic shape and implant surface
- Decide on for one of four projections ("heights")

The POLYTECH Implant Shell Surfaces
POLYTECH’s high quality implant shells are made from a silicone elastomer, a high-performance material that is particularly resistant to chemical and mechanical effects.
Composed of multiple different layers, the shell has a well-defined structure including a special barrier layer that is designed to prevent silicone oils from migrating.
POLYTECH implants are provided with a range of shell surface textures and with the proprietary shell cover Microthane®
POLYTECH implants are independently tested by the State Materials Testing Institute Darmstadt and the surface texture is classified with the EN ISO 14607: 2018 – the only official and shared classification method.

MESMO®
Fine microtextured shell surface
The MESMO® fine microtextured implant shell surface is appreciated for its properties and ease of use which allows MESMO® to be utilised for a variety of indications.
Available in round and anatomical implant shapes, and in 4 projections: Low, Moderate, High and Extra High.
MESMO® fine microtextured shell combines the benefits of both smooth and textured surfaces. The capsular contracture rates for MESMO® surface is low3.
